Welcome to VocaBase. These Terms of Service outline the rules and guidelines for using our language learning app and website. By using VocaBase, you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

VocaBase is a tool designed to help you build practical vocabulary in Spanish and Portuguese. We aim to keep the app focused, quiet, and useful. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time to improve the platform or address technical needs.

2. Account Security

If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately.

3. Acceptable Use

We expect users to utilize VocaBase respectfully. You agree not to:

• Abuse or disrupt the service, bypass security controls, or access another user's account without permission.
• Submit or generate unlawful, harassing, or malicious content.
• Input the sensitive private data of others into our personalization systems.

4. AI and Translation Limitations

VocaBase uses artificial intelligence and translation services to generate custom vocabulary, context sentences, and spoken audio. While we strive for high quality, these systems are not perfect and may occasionally produce inaccurate, unnatural, or inappropriate translations.

Furthermore, VocaBase is a tool for building vocabulary, not a substitute for comprehensive language immersion. We do not guarantee spoken fluency or specific learning outcomes.

5. Your Content and Rights

You retain all rights to the private inputs—such as your typed goals and voice notes—that you submit to VocaBase. By submitting this information, you grant us the necessary permissions to process it in order to provide the personalized learning service you requested.

6. Billing and Subscriptions

Where paid web plans are offered, Stripe handles checkout and recurring billing. Review the price, billing interval, and renewal terms shown before purchasing. Existing web subscribers can manage or cancel renewal through Settings > Manage subscription in the web app. Contact support if you cannot access that option or have a billing question.

Our native mobile launch is currently free to use. Nothing in these terms is intended to limit any statutory consumer rights you may have under applicable law.
